Pokemon GO trainers can find Cyndaquil through:
- Finding inResidential Areas/Cities, or on beaches
- During warm/sunny weather
- Using Lure Modules at Pokestops
- Obtaining the ‘Power up Pokemon 5 times’ Field Research Task
- Obtaining the ‘Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon’ Field Research Task’
As a fire Pokémon, if the trainer lives in a hot climate, close to the beach, or lives in a big city/residential area, he can increase his chances of getting Sindaquil. Regardless of whether the player can enter these areas, everyone can increase their chances of obtaining Cyndaquil by using the decoy module on Pokestop.
The Lure module can be purchased from the store for 100 PokeCoins or 680 Pokecoins for bundle of 8.
Another way to get Cyndaquil is to complete research tasks. Both July Field Research tasks “Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon’, and ‘Power up Pokemon 5 times” will reward one of the city’s three starting Pokémon: Chikorita, Totodile, or Cyndaquil. These research missions can be obtained by spinning Pokestops, and trainers can stack missions to save their own berries and stardust.
However, these missions cannot be farmed to find Sindaquel, because once the Research is completed, they cannot be obtained by spinning the same Pokestop again. If the trainer cannot find well-loved Johto starter, they will have to spin other Pokestops to find the task.
In order to perform new research tasks, a free slot is needed. If the trainer does not have free space, they can delete another task by pressing the trash can icon.
