Square Enix announced that it will bring its fantasy role-playing game Trials of Mana to mobile devices next month. The game will be available for iOS and Android devices on July 15. Trials of Mana is a JRPG, originally released in 1995, but last year it received a 3D remake and appeared on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Now this version of the game will appear on mobile devices.
The main difference between the remake and the original is the graphics, because the basic gameplay and premise remain the same, but the visual effects have been upgraded from a 2D perspective to a 3D perspective. This is a preview of the 3D remake of Mana Trial last year.
In addition to the optimization of touch controls, you should expect the game to behave similarly on mobile devices. Auto-targeting, auto-camera, and auto-battling are also added to the game to provide a more convenient experience.
Trials of Mana allows you to control a group of adventurers who unite and continue to seek to defeat Benevodons and save the dying mana tree. The Mana series originally started as a side story of Square’s flagship Final Fantasy series. In order to distinguish the identities of the two series, Mana Games uses real-time combat as an action role-playing game instead of Final Fantasy’s turn-based combat system.
It’ll be launching on iOS and Android on 15th July, where it is priced at $23.99, which is much lower than the $50 price that the PC and console versions were asking for. Trials of Mana is currently also available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch if you’re interested in checking them out ahead of the mobile launches.
